No drive thru or off street parking. But, they make awesome sub's. Definitely worth going.
There probably is. I'd call and ask though.
waited an hour and a half for a hot bbq chicken sub, that was $20 with a tip for some reason.. when it finally got here it was ice cold so i told the driver to call someone and the person on the phone said “i have to pay for it and if i want it remade i have to wait for him to bring the remake” i refused and was told i was never allowed to order again. great customer service guys
After 16 years of being away, still has that same great taste! The staff working were awesome and welcoming. Thank you all for a great experience!
Great sub wait staff polite and fast
Always great food. Good service.
A classic spot with great food. Can't go wrong there.
Great food but alittle pricey
I rate it tops! I worked behind the counter and did deliveries when the sub shop first opened. One of their first employees! Pops and his wife cooked up the meatballs and owned it and their son Bill (Sr) managed it. Wonderful place to work...and the lines went out the door on weekend nights. I trust that I may not recognize the restaurant these days given the expansion over the decades.
They make excellent subs. I would recommend Oswego sub shop to n e one.
There just aren't words to describe how delicious the food is. I won't go on and on. It's worth it and then some. And don't get me started on the wings. Just moved from Brooklyn. This place blows away any sub or wings I've had there. Plus they are just really nice people🙂
They have the best subs in oswego but sometimes delivery can take a while. But I think it's worth the wait.
The homemade rolls, the love in which every sub is created...OMG! Mouth is watering just thinking about it. And if you love sweets the cinnamon rolls and rice krispies are delish!
Had subs twice in last month something is different but cannot figure out what it is. Subs are just not as great tasting as we're a year or two ago. Service was good.
Roast beef was flavorless and felt like I was eating paper. The cheeseburger sub is NOTHING like the saucy Big Mac it used to taste like, meat was very bland and dry. I’m very disappointed in my experience today. Mind you the staff was wonderful and promptly made turkey sub to replace the awful experience. I hope they get back to the original recipe for the cheeseburger sub, and switch back vendors/brand for the roast beef and burger meat.
Best tuna sub on the planet. Great staff. They are also taking necessary vivid precautions.
My family has been enjoying the menu at The Oswego Sub Shop for over 30 years! Awesome food and awesome service - EVERY TIME!!!!!!! My favorite- the cheeseburger sub!
My favorite place for my subs. I have been going there for the past 25 yrs .Bill and Beth are great people and there employees are great also.
It's been more than two decades since I ate here last. I went to college in Oswego in the 90's, needless to say it's been a while. Regardless, the best chicken salad I ever had was from this place. I still copy their recipe to this day. Good stuff
Always a great lunch not too bad on prices
Great food, many choices, fast service!
The food is good but delivery wise it takes a very long time to get to you especially if your order is small. I can say the same with most the shops around Oswego.
Love their food very tasty
Hidden secret. This place rocks. Has several choices. Fresh and good. Peace
Friendly service. Excellent cookies and my daughter wanted to go there specifically for their cheeseburger hero with chili on top.
Great food!! Pricey tho for a sub shop. Would go more if it didn't cost so much.
Very good subs. A bit expensive. Fast food has become as expensive as sit down meals.
Fantastic food, fresh baked bread and homemade Mayo. Amazing cookies and cinnamon rolls. Friendly staff and a clean facility. I mean what more could you possibly want?
Very expensive, especially for what you get. I ordered a fried chicken salad and the chicken was so old and hard I couldn't eat it. I know someone who works there so I told them about it and they said they cook all if the chicken tenders in the morning! For how much they charge you'd think you could at least get freshly fried chicken.
I used to love the cheeseburger subs. But they no longer put any meat on them. It's basically a salad. It's been that way for at least a year. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning.
Paid $20 for a handfull of fries and a smoshed, soggy, sub on a hotdog bun. I could have made that. Gordon Ramsay whould be furious..
The most famous sandwich in the North Country, the Al Roker Special! Someday I'll get something different, but not today!
Food is excellent and when the deliver the food it doesn't take that much time to get it.The employees are great, and the delivery people are very personable.I would recommend this establishment to anyone. Since I have been getting my sandwiches there for over 25 yrs.Great job To the Greens.
They have the best subs in town. I have been going there for over 25 yrs.Bill and Beth Greene are great people and they do a lot for this community. They have some great employees working there.Keep up the great work Beth and Bill.
Place looks terrible,Service and Production area nasty, floors, walls and all furniture are outdated, and moldy.During pandemic, management allowed inside the shop for pickup the food which is unacceptable.Old guy with eye glasses was fixing the cash register and i was standing in front of him to pick up order, did not greet, did not pay attention,.for 10 minutes.and you know ,two customer came after me and he served first to them. What a HOSPITALITY. I try to explain and he did not understood. Did not deserve for any STAR.I will never ,never go back like this dirty, filthy, no hospitality.establishment.
Consistently good. My wife and I will drive out from Syracuse just to get a sub or Sal's Wings and we are never disappointed. The staff is always polite and the food fantastic.
Pricey for sub par deli meat. 4 half subs and 4 drinks for $43. Staff member sprayed my kid with cleaning solution while cleaning the adjacent table and didn't bother to even say sorry. Not that big of a deal but it could have been acknowledged. Was a nostalgic visit that won't likely be repeated. I guess I should have left my college memory of this place delivering beer to me 15 years ago my last.
Slow service. It took an hour to receive our food. When calling to check on it was told our order was with the driver and let quite a while ago so should show up soon. Everything was ice cold. ( we ordered hot sandwiches). Quality of food was not good
Such a wonderful experience. Great staff, homeaid bread, lots of options, price is stellar. Will be back
Very friendly staff and the buns are very fresh great sub
I found pieces of plastic fork in my sand witch. In addition to this troubling discovery the entire order was wrong, I asked for a burger sub and received chicken, and my other sub which was a roast beef with multiple topping just had lettuce and onion.
I ordered food from subshop at 10:30pm. I didn’t get my food for more than 1 hour so I called them at 11:40 PM. A guy picked up my phone and I told them I haven’t got my food. The guy hung up my phone. I called him in 10 minutes again and he picked up my phone. After I told him I didn’t get my food he hung up my phone again. That’s so rude and made me really mad. Today I called subshop again and they said they can do nothing about it. I never gonna buy good from them again. Trash customer service.
Quick service and much better quality than the chain sub and sandwich shops.
The one thing missing here is a higher quality meat. A few years back they switched to a lower costing meat line up.
Good quality food. Usually pretty quick service. Friendly staff. Generous portions.
Love the place been goin for40 years just need someoneTo clean tables off sooner and better
I don't know if it was a joke or this is how the food is Normally Done, but my second time to this place was definitely my Last...
A really great local sandwich shop with something for everybody. You can eat in or take your food to go. A very extensive menu and great service . I highly recommend going on Wednesday and trying the in house cooked Angus roast beef served on a special "weck roll" with Au Jus gravy, thin sliced red onion, sharp cheddar cheese and horseradish. This sandwich is delicious and worth every penny. See "Bill" the previous owner on Wednesday for that great sandwich, his son is now the owner. All the employees have a great attitude. I really like the fact that they are open very late to accommodate college students and late night fisherman. Also try the "Al Roker or the Steve Levy" sandwiches. A must go when you are in the Oswego area. See Bill in the attached photos
Our first time here...ordered chic. parmesan sub, a Reuben, buffalo chic.wrap, and fries. All were great and service was quick despite being very busy.
Extremely high prices, they take forever to get you your food, even with 10 people working and only 2 of us waiting. Plus, it doesn't taste all that great. The prepaid subs from walmart taste better.
Two words, Cheeseburger sub. Nuff said...
If you're looking for a place that's open late to grab some food in Oswego, Oswego sub shop is a great place to go. Good prices, large selection of sandwiches/subs etc. Their french fries and grilled cheese are fantastic. Nice dine in atmosphere, very friendly workers. Also offer take out and delivery. Definitely would recommend checking them out if you haven't already.
